Welcome to Cat gooming by Steph, located in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, covering the North East region.

As a fully trained and insured cat only groomer, I offer specialized, stress-free grooming tailored to each cat's unique personality and welfare.

My goal is to keep your furry friend calm and comfortable while ensuring they look their best. I strive to help the owner keep their cat matt free, well groomed and ensure owners can simply enjoy their pets.

I work from home in relaxed environment with time between clients for cleaning. Strictly no dogs.

All cats catered for and experienced grooming Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Siberians and Persians.

Payment on day, cards accepted. 25% discount on repeat appointments. Do not do home visits.

About Steph

Steph started career as a project manager in the semiconductor industry and left as a strategy planner for a new factory.

Steph travelled with work to Europe, Middle east and USA

After adopting a Persian kitten over 8 years ago Steph found a cat groomer 2.5 hours away and due to distance was invited to do a 1 day course in the basics of cat grooming.

The instructor gave Steph all the difficult cats and quickly realised Steph had a natural talent for calming aggressive cats. From this Steph was encouraged to do a full certification over 12 weeks in cat grooming and styling. Steph ended up grooming cats on a Monday in a busy Dublin cat Salon often grooming 6+ cats in a day.

Steph recently returned to UK to look after 90 year old mum and start own part time cat grooming business.

Steph is semi retired and only grooms 2-3 cats per day so limited appointments.

Kittens are more open to new experiences, so brushing, nail trimming, and handling paws/ears become normalized. Reduces stress and fear associated with grooming later in life.

Adult cats that weren’t groomed as kittens may resist or become anxious. Early grooming helps them become tolerant of tools like brushes, combs, clippers, and even baths (if needed).
